The United States government continues to send economic stimulus checks to Americans. Some will even receive an additional one.
The United States remains the nation most affected by the coronavirus pandemic, and also being the most powerful economy in the world , something had to be done to reactivate it as soon as possible.
Under President Donald Trump, two rounds of economic stimulus checks were issued to Americans. However, this was not enough and the Biden administration had to authorize a third round of direct payments.
Millions of Americans have already received the third economic stimulus check, and millions of other Americans are still waiting to receive it, although next week could be decisive for it.
Some people may receive an additional check
But some people might find a pleasant surprise who already has the third economic stimulus check in their hands. And it is that imagine that the IRS sends you additional money. This will be possible thanks to a twist that the American Economic Rescue Plan took.
It does not mean that all the people who have already received their third check will get a fourth. The IRS is calling these extra checks “plus-up” payments, and some lucky Americans might receive them next week.
Typically, supplemental payments will go to Americans who received a third stimulus check that was based on information from their 2019 federal income tax return , but are eligible for a higher payment based on a tax return. 2020 that was submitted and / or processed later.
